Another ward could take her, but try explaining to the orthopedic what brittle asthma even is. And charts? We don't read no stinkin' charts! As for her primary doctor, she'd be the same person if Joey was going public or private. There's only a handful of brittle asthma specialists, so at that level it stops mattering. It's the same here with specialists. I just say that so that some don't derail it into a private versus public thing, because it's the same doctor in her case. She hasn't spoken much about the hospital, just to say that she gets on with the staff on her ward and they're the types who are on the case. Even made a house call!

Whilst our NHS is a fantastic thing, it's currently a bit poorly. To the extent that patients will probably soon be sharing beds. My father in law had a stroke 12 months ago and received the best care available anywhere, albeit in a shabby little dump of a hospital to begin with. It has its problems, but our doctors and nurses are the equal of any in the world. And it's free.
