And yes, it’s ‘my’ tree. I transplanted it (as a 24-inch sport from the root of a parent tree) from a long- untended Georgia Pacific timber tract near the highest point on Reavis Mountain near Nelson, GA USA in 1991.
One might call it stealing. It was not. The landowner’s cash crop is slash (pulp) pine, not Eastern Redbud.
