Lanikai handmade on Oahu - I never knew!

I noticed a Lanikai uke on Reverb selling for way more than a Lanikai should. Reading about it, it's their Makau Series - Waimea Model handmade on Oahu. Is this still a thing or something they tried back in 2015? Solid Koa but not a very good grade of Koa. I learned something new! Anyone ever play one?
