A problem with a coat of french polish

Hi ,

Last evening, I made a little mistake during a coat of french polish.
I put my french polish pad on a dirty surface and i only see this problem when i applied the coat on the side...

This morning, i have a wonderful effect : dirt or wool dirt in the coat.

This is the first time i try this finish and i hadn't make this mistake during my previous tests so i hesitate for solve the problem.
Is it better to sand or is it better to use a new pad with alcool for remove the last pass?

I'd sand it off. Alcohol might just spread it around.

Problem solve with sanding at p1500.

The beauty of French polish is there no such thing as a mistake. it just means you sand back a little and start over

So true. It is also non-toxic and looks great. Downside: Can be fragile.
