I'm ordering four or five of these ukes for people in my group. That brings the price down to the $60 range. It looks like the same $90 shipping charge applies for up to five ukes, so each one costs $58, or so. That's like $18 shipping for the $40 Travel Ukulele.

the sides look really thick, those are gonna be bombproof ukes. wonder what the humidity is in that open-air factory... makes me think of the early Koalana fiasco.

Cutting single piece sides, neck- and end block from one massive 'mahogany' slab on a band saw? I guess luthiers here will go .
Not that going an unconventional route is always bad, but I am thinking, with all that offcut, this seems like such a waste of wood...
