Uncle Elvis and the Flea Bitten Dawgs are joined by our good friend Seeso for a night at Uncommon Ground on Clark Street, Chicago's premier acoustic music venue! The show will be opened by local favorite Ryan Suzuka.

Ryan Suzuka
Although he frequently smiles, Ryan sings sad songs on his ukulele. Some songs are happy, some are angry, but most are sad, though, sad in a way that will make you smile just like he does.

His first instrument was actually harmonica and when he's not playing his own songs, he has appeared on stage and in the studio with acts such as Crystal Bowersox, Company of Thieves, Algebro, Sarah and the Tall Boys and Ty Maxon.

Seeso
Narciso “Seeso” Lobo is quite possibly the best break-dancing ukulele singer-songwriter in the tri-state area. If you can think of another one, he’ll seek him/her out and kill him/her. He’s done it before. He’s not afraid.

Seeso discovered the ukulele about 6 years ago and hasn’t looked back since. His YouTube videos have been watched over 4 million times, with the video of his original song, “Thank You for Leaving Me (When I Was Down)” attracting 1.3 million, becoming a viral hit. He has shared the stage with artists as diverse as Twank Star and Julia Nunes, and has been featured in ukulele festivals across the Midwest. Look for his new album in early 2013.

Uncle Elvis
Bermuda’s favorite ukulele entertainer, Uncle Elvis is bringing his brand of ukulele fun and unbridled showmanship Stateside and joining forces with perennial favorites The Flea Bitten Dawgs for a late winter whirlwind tour.

The Flea Bitten Dawgs
February of 2010 and two band mates from a rock and roll band go into a performance studio to video a promotional music video to help benefit local St. Louis Community radio station, KDHX88.1, The Whole Earth Nuclear Ukulele Orchestra video hit Youtube and the hits started to climb. A new band, The Flea Bitten Dawgs was born!

Thom Pallozola
Ukulele, Vocal, Percussion
Has played string instruments since 1962, ukulele at 1964 and still has his first ukulele, a banjo/ukulele from the 1920’s! The founder of “The Whole Earth Nuclear Ukulele Orchestra, a gathering of top St. Louis musicians who come together once a year to do a benefit for KDHX88.1 Community Radio Station, one of the top five in the country! Also is the founder of the Ukulele Fight Clubs. Thom runs the St. Louis group and handles chartering the name to other interested ukulele groups around the country. Plays guitar, bass, percussion, banjo, dulcimer, mouth bow, and ukulele to name a few. Want to be the worlds best sideman with a style that is a cross between J. Garcia and Django Reinhardt on ukulele. Can be forced to sing!

David Henry Spangler
Ukulele, Vocal
Has played string instruments since 1961. One of the co-founders of “The Last Waltz, St. Louis Celebration of the Bands Final Concert” which is in its 10th year in 2013. Plays guitar, bass, mandolin, and ukulele. Is lead vocal in the Flea Bitten Dawgs. Has a Willie Nelson quality with a touch more richness in his vocal renditions.

The Flea Bitten Dawgs
The Dawgs sound comes from a cross of the Garcia/Grishman acoustic collaboration and what Willie Nelson would sound like being backed by Django. Our favorite songs tend to be ballads that have a rich melody to improvise from. While not a “jamband” we still take a song into many turns and still find the melody all within one chorus.
Formed: February 2010
Based in St. Louis, MO
CD’s: “Dawg Bonz, All Natural Dawggie Treats”
“Love Songs, Dawggie Style”
Our CD’s have gotten airplay on stations in Missouri, Indiana, North Carolina, and Georgia.
We have toured in Missouri, Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

Voted “Best Old Band 2011” by the Riverfront Times, a St. Louis Arts and Entertainment newspaper
