For anyone who hasn't already seen me excitedly talk about it like a nosepicking child, 'annihilation' is a technique in chess where you capture your opponent's most vital piece that is defending a bunch of other things and just completely destabilize their position. Fairly staple skill for those of us who like the fast time controls. I won a bunch of blitz events and one bullet arena after learning this tactic. People don't always have a one off weakness like that but it's fairly common that they do because pieces have different and limited powers and must rely on each other. Oh, your king is staring down the barrel of my vertical battery and your bishop is the only thing protecting the open file? RIP bishop. Go sleepy byes now.

Interesting note...for all that it's a dark song about a zombie invasion I think it shows deep respect for life...it's somber and mournful, not gratuitous. But I'll let you be the judge of that now.
