Song Help Request This is how we do it

I’ve scoured the net for any version of this Montel Jordan song. No luck. Someone did do a ukulele version of it for Seeso’s hip hop contest, but I can’t make out the chords he used – the baritone uke is throwing me off.

Video link is below. Seems simple enough, I think it starts on Dmaj7, can anyone figure out the chords he finishes the progression with? Thanks!

on a tenor tuning its an A, D, E7
which can also be played like an oldie as
A, F#min, D. E7
which may or may not be the original chords for montel jordan's
"this is how we do it". however, the chords sound fine with it and may be used for TONS of songs, you know, one of those chord progressions that keeps going on and on while people are surrounded by coolers full of brew as they keep singing different lyrics to those chords until your fingers fall off.
