I'm pretty sure I'm not the first to post these changes, but just in case:

Sweet Georgia Brown

(G7)(F#7)(F7)

(E7) No gal made, has got a shade on Sweet Georgia Brown
(A7) Two left feet but oh so neat, has Sweet Georgia Brown
(D7) They all sigh and wanna cry for Sweet Georgia Brown
I'll tell you just (G) why,(D7) you know I don't (G) lie, not (B7) much

'Cause (E7) it's been said that she knocks 'em dead
When she lands in town
And (A7) it's a shame, a crying shame how she cools 'em down

(Em) Fellers (B7) she can't get are (Em) fellers, (B7) she ain't met
(G7) Georgia (F#7) named (F7) her (E7) Georgia claimed her
(A) Sweet (D7) Georgia (G) Brown

I start with G-4535 and slide down one beat on each chord till I get to E7-1202
A7-6757 D7-5655 G-0232 D7-2223
Em-0432 B7-2322

Thanks, Jim!

That was the first tune my grandmother taught me on the uke, back before dinosaurs walked the Earth. :)

I kid you not ,but this a bit spooky....I did a tribute vid for Ukey Dave , jamming along to him playing this song on one of the Seasons weeks...it seems to keep cropping up all over the place ...and not just on here ...I would accept that as the usual.."oh I just bought a Harley and now I see them all the time" syndrome ...but I have been playing this for the last couple of years ..Guitar,Accordion and Uke...it's verrah strange to me Jimmeh ....

Here's a video of a bunch of folks who get together sometimes at the farmer's market in Port Hope to make a bit of music. I didn't bring a uke, so I'm playing guitar and David Newland brought his uke, which you can see lying on the picnic table, but since his hands were occupied with his son, he played a shakey egg. The only two soloists who were captured here are Carlos del Junco on mouth harp and Laurence Stevenson on fiddle. I hope you don't have to be signed up to Facebook or be a "friend" of David Sheff, who took the photo, in order to see it.
