I have a fantastic 1993 Taylor 712 acoustic that has gotten dangerously tight in the case, The tightest area is in the side bouts. I am no longer comfortable keeping it in this case for fear of possibly crushing the guitar.
I am somewhat concerned about purchasing a direct replacement case for it- not being certain- did the case shrink- or the guitar swell? I would think the case shrunk- however want to ensure I find a case that fits it well- while providing great protection to it. I wouldn't be opposed to purchasing a quality aftermarket case, however again, concerned about finding something that fits properly.
I live in the middle of Maine, so I don't have the options of going to a large music shop to try on cases,
Thoughts? Advice?
