SOLD. TY REVERB.

Rebel "Original Fake" Tenor, one of Rebel's limited custom release models. Bought and setup from The Ukulele Site late 2021 with LR Baggs 5.0 and pin strap install. Bundled with mint condition Lekato Looper/Digital Tuner Pedal. Will ship with Oahu hardcase and humidifier. Perfect uke for somebody who appreciates an experienced, opened up sound with a chic, yet clean look and balanced bass response that isn't overly boomy.

Exact uke demo, #1 of 10:

Sister model uke listing for specs reference (exact same specs, different wood grain): https://theukulelesite.com/rebel-custom-tenor-original-fake-211.html

Currently strung Worth Brown Fats & a La Bella smooth wound silver wrapped classical guitar string for low G tuning. Will include an unused Worth BF high g string and 10 sets of slightly used tenor strings that were used to find the right sound for me. Includes a couple slightly used wound low G strings, an Aquila Super Nylgut high dGBE tenor, brand new Hannah Bach Super Carbon high g sets.

Original costs: $1700 (uke) + $289 (LR Baggs 5.0 + guitar pin install) + $64.99 (Lekato Looper with AC Adapter) + 10 string sets + taxes

Uke was previously used to record and perform regularly. But for last several months has been unused, stored in a humidified case. Sound is bright, warm, opened up from dozens of performances and projects very well. When plugged in it has good balance and a smooth, warm tone.

SIGNS of WEAR: Not visible 90-95% of time. No damage to soundboard. Only slight signs of wear on gloss finish - light strum streaks on treble side upper bout with some checkering only visible on close inspection under direct light. Some knicks on red cedar half from play time with Abe Lagrimas Jr (accidentally tapped soundboard instead of bridge when doing percussion with fingertip). These are knicks on gloss surface, 1mm or less in size. Only noticeable close up and at an angle under light. Back, sides, neck, headstock, fretboard are mint with no dings or scratches. See pics with match head for size reference.

Set with Abe:

Will condition fretboard and bridge with 100% mineral oil before mailing out. Available to virtual demo. Mahalo

Went and saw Corey playing a uke like this in link above. Sounds great although he could make a 50 buck uke sound better than me playing a 5000. one. LOL. good luck with this sale of a rare uke.

Mahalo Uke Man! Excuse my lag on reply. Agreed, Corey is great!

Side note on sound,I have this currently strung up low G - my personal preference. But the sound of this uke is perfect for high g players. Punchy without being overly boomy, great response and the side soundport really helps the player to hear the high g. To me high g sound can get drowned out with ukes that have a stronger bass response if there's no side soundport.

This is an incredible uke!!

Mos def. Awesome sound. Depth of tone between new Pono lattice braced Master Series and Ko'olau... closer to the Ko'olau spectrum IMHO (I own both and can do a virtual sound comparison between all 3). Plus you get the benefit of having a limited edition (1 of 10 ever made) custom that stands out from the crowd... if being a "Rebel" appeals to you 😎🤘
