Here's an old japanese song on the ukulele:

I'm still not good enough to play it perfect in one take, so pardon the errors. What I was intending to play is here:

Code:
Koko Ni Sachi Ari (Here is Happiness)

 Japanese:

Arashi mo fukeba ame mo furu
Onna no michi yo naze kewashi
Kimi yo tayori ni watashi wa ikiru
Koko ni sachi ari aoi sora.

 English:

Stormy winds of life may blow,
 and even rain may fall.
Though the clouds are dark above
life will be bright for me.
 I live for you only,
I live because we have loved.
 Koko ni sachi ari,
 Beyond the blue, blue sky.

The English translation comes from a collection of ukulele songs that someone gave me back in high school. I have no idea where it comes from and if the the translation is correct or not.

Here's the other verses in Japanese and English . . .

Code:
Arashi mo fu-ke-ba a-me mo fu-ru
On-na no mi-chi-yo naze ke-wa-shi
Ki-mi o ta-yo-ri-ni watashi wa i-ki-ru
Koko ni sachi ari a-oi so-ra

Dare-ni mo i-e-nu tsu-me no a-to
Kokoro ni u-ke-ta ko-i no to-ri
Na-i-te ne-ga re-te sa-ma-yo-i yu-ke-ba
Yoru no chima-ta no kaze kanashi

Ino-chi no ka-giri yo-bi-ka-ke-ru
Ko-da-ma no na-te ni matsu wa dare
Kimi yo Yori so –I aja-ru-ku a-o-gu
Koko ni sachi ari shiro-i ku-mo

Here, oh here is happiness
Where I can be close to you
In the warmth of your caress
I’m happy dear, with you
Please say that you’ll never leave me
I know that would break my heart
I want to be near you always
For here, oh here is happiness

nice job Jeremy! did you ever get that mini amp for travel?

and thanks for providing the tabs!

Thanks Russ! No, I have not gotten around to getting the mini amp. I played this one thru my son's VOX DA5.

Sorry Jeremy, I don't. I got that song from one of the local boys when I was stationed in the ROK. BTW, did you see the thread about the get together on the 20th? I think FHS72 PM'd you about it.
