Kala travel uke - rebalancing via replacing tuning pegs. Feasable?

I'm tending toward buying a Kala travel uke to replace my beloved old Mahalo that I play at school - and while commuting. I saw on reviews that the uke is head heavy cos of the shiny tuners Kala uses and wondered if some either friction tuners or geared friction tuners from StuMac or similar might help that problem. Any comments?

Thanks for the link. I have a tenor version of the Kala Travel and it is super head-heavy. This sounds like something I might even be able to do (ha!)
