Hey everyone! As if I’m not trying to learn enough on the uke and mandolin, I decided I wanted to learn how to do some flatpicking on guitar. I’ve played guitar since I was a teenager but haven’t honestly improved on it much at all in the last 10 years.

Since I’ve been doing a lot of flatpicking on mandolin and working on keeping the right hand moving steadily with the rhythm, I thought a lot of these skills would transfer over to guitar. And they seem to! Other than having another 2 strings to give my brain more to think about and overload it.

Anyways, here’s me messing around with playing “Will the Circle be Unbroken” in Carter Scratch style, which apparently is a good precursor style to learn for more modern bluegrass guitar flatpicking:

Take care everyone! 🤙
