Tenor Strings on Baritone Uke

My tenor ukulele when tuned correctly, the strings on my tuner show up as G4 C4 E4 A4

I put tenor strings on my Baritone uke and they come up as G3 C3 E3 A3. These feel really loose. Not a lot of tension.

Is it possible to tighten up the tenor strings on my Baritone to get to that G4 C4 E4 A4 tension? Or do you think the strings will snap?

I think they will snap. they may feel good tuned somewhere in between, but that may not be what you are wanting.

Some string manufacturers make high and/or low G string sets specifically for baritone

You can use standard tenor strings on baritone but they will generally sound best somewhere around "A" tuning which would be E4 A3 C#4 F#4. if you really want C tuning, you are going to need thinner strings designed for it
