I had filed for an Adult Protective Service Order against my sibling. Not to get him into more trouble, but to try and get him more help. So far, DCF has been no help at all.
The judge held a hearing yesterday, which I attended via Zoom. The judge will ask the county attorney to require my sibling to have a mental health examination, because he showed blatant signs of dementia. So, he might be able to be remanded to a facility, where he will finally get some help. He obviously cannot take care of himself, or his dog. The dog will be taken to the no kill shelter. He is no longer allowed to own firearms, and can have only monitored visits with Mom.
