Putting it in low-g makes travis picking sound exactly like guitar. Good news, no surprises. Bad news, no surprises. You're gonna buy another anyway. String that one in low-g.

"Go low G or keep it normal" makes it sound as though low G is abnormal. While re-entrant G provides a more "traditional" uklulele sound, so many people are playing low G now that it would be difficult to think of it as abnormal.

That's a fine instrument, but I'd still advise you to add another one to your stable. After all, if you restring your uke, it's always out of action for a while until the strings settle in. You'd go crazy not having a uke to play .
