    New Bender Mods.

    Just a Quick Look at the modifications I made to my new soprano bender … A variable heat control fitted with a thermometer on the mould heater assembly and a push button starter in line with a relay….I seems to work fine ,so I’ll try it out on a couple of sides tomorrow And report back. :)

    Thickness drum sander.

    Ive noticed that another thickness sander is now being advertised made by Lumberjack ...But I can't find any reviews on it. has any one seen one of these in action... this one handles 18 inch wide in a single pass......EDIT I've just found out it's very much like the Grizzly model.

    Another tip

    I made up a ship load of triangular kerfed linings and I wasn't happy with the unsightly sawn finish left by the bandsaw blade, I normally spend a bit of time sanding these smooth by hand but it's pain in the butt job. So today I came up with this setup and it's works great...and it can be done...

    Jig for bolt ons

    I'm working with my Son Mike on a different design soprano based on several requests for a uke other than the standard style 0 Martin that I do ... This one will be the same scale but with a 17 fret fingerboard the neck joining the body at the 14th fret (Not a Concert neck on a soprano body) ...

    It's been 5 years since I bought this machine and it's it's been a good un for me and I've always treated it like a friend....and today I replaced the conveyor belt cos the original had become worn and sagging (Like me) ... I hope to get another 5 years out of this one if I last that long :)...

    End of the Road
