Buzzing on the 1st fret of the G string due to Symptom #7...

Having read the sticky thread first, I think that the buzzing I hear when I fret the G string at the 1st fret is due to the fact that the nut slots ARE cut too deep causing unfretted strings to buzz against 1st fret. What can I do about it if it IS cut too deep??? The strings are Aquila Nylguts...

Differences between a 4-string banjo, banjolele, banjo uke, etc.???

What are the differences between a 4-string banjo (e.g one I'm looking at has 23 frets), banjolele, banjo uke, etc. I see that the size of the head is larger and length of the neck/fretboard is longer on the "regular" 4-string banjos. Can a 4-string banjo be re-strung with uke strings to...

My apologies for this repeated post as I'm sure this question has been posted many times before, but I have not found the right search criteria for it. As the title states, the finish has been completely worn away from strumming above and around the sound hole and the bare mahog is exposed. I do...

Do you use humidifiers in your cases for your vintage ukes?

If they've survived this long without 'em (e.g. mine from the 20s), should I just let 'em be? Thanks in advance,

    Strange Keykord Uke on eBay...

Apparently, this thing is "tuned like a baritone ukulele and played sort of like an autoharp, the KeyKord was the Depression-era's version of this generation's video game "Guitar Hero". Push the buttons and strum, and thereby become a musician." "Built by the Stromberg-Voisinet company (Kay)...
