These are the two hardshell cases, original to the Wurlitzer and the Schmidt. One has been chewed a bit but the interior is fine; the other in nearly perfect.

    Any collectors interested.....?

Indeed. The Wurlitzer is my personal favorite among these three, a real gem. The compensation mod to the saddle is little more than a scuff mark.........a ukulele saddle is much too narrow to do much compensation work.

    Any collectors interested.....?

A bit of clarification.......... I am in Texas and will pay shipping to CONUS addresses only......no international offers considered, sorry. Payment received via PayPal, friends & family. Will accept a check but it will have to clear before shipment. At this time the Wurlitzer and the Schmidt...

    Any collectors interested.....?

It has come time to move a few of my ukuleles to better hands. Here are three exceptional examples I hope to sell. All three of these instruments have been examined and setup by Jake Wildwood and I have linked his write ups of his work as the best way to display them. At this time they are...

    Straps

This Mobious strap is quite unique and holds the instrument in a good balance. Mobius Strap

    Show us your ukes!

That's quite an extreme reaction but I'm glad you like it........it is nice. Sounds like those old, mid-rangy instruments of the era.

    Civil War Original

I've read extensively on the American Civil War and every now and then a lyric jumps out. This is an historically accurate tale of the 20th Maine's defense of Little Round Top, July 2, 1863, the second day of the fight at Gettysburg, PA. Commanded by a university professor, Col. Joshua...

    Season 511 It's Essential!

Well.......the voice ain't what it used to be and this is as good as it gets for me these days........ (......and a question.......it's been several years since I was last here and I am wondering what the "points" thing is all about......)

    Show us your ukes!

Has anyone seen another one of these? It's an early 1920s Oscar Schmidt 5K of all koa encrusted with pearl and abalone from stem to stern. I believe this to be a one-off built as a presentation piece...............

    FS: 20s Wurlitzer 2K & 20s Gibson Style 3

Got too many ukuleles! After a 3-year ukulele hiatus, I have recently purchased a new guitar and am ready to thin the uke herd. Here we have two fine examples of 20s builds in A+ condition. Both instruments have been serviced by Jake of Antebellum Instruments and there are links below to his...

    Original Song: Stones of Circumstance

A tale of woe and teeth gnashing from our protagonist, a miserable soul. Recorded this one in the Seasons on ukulele some weeks back, restricted to just two chords per the hosts' rules. This is how the melody was originally done..... I find it a bit odd that on a songwriting sub forum there...

    Original Song: Lucky Stars

In August of 2005 I was kicking around a phrase, trying to write a lyric about a relationship on the rocks: you'd better pray our lucky stars will intervene. I was getting no where. On August 28th as I watched the evening news coverage of the approach of Hurricane Katrina, the phrase took on a...

    Original Song: Helldorado

A tale of frontier justice and apathy in old Tombstone. Short and to the point........... Critics welcome.

When Horses Run - Original Buc-a-Roo Song

About three years ago I bought my first ukulele and parted ways with the guitar.......sold them all and didn't look back. Until last week when I tracked down this Gibson Hummingbird Vintage. I couldn't stop myself from whipping out the credit card. So after a few days of finger pain (ukulele...

    Singing Video Thread

Seems to me since this is the Singing sub-forum perhaps we should have a thread for singing performances, with ukulele accompaniment of course. But singing, you know? Not about your chops on the uke but about the singing. I've seen so many great players post videos of pieces I could never...

    1920s Oscar Schmidt 5K

Wow what a beauty! This one will be home next week from Jake's shop in the mountains of Vermont after a little TLC. We're thinking this one is a one-off custom build for someone that wanted a maxed out 5K. Even the fretboard and the bridge are flame koa. Amazing, tedious hand work with all...
