Would it be possible to replace the posts/shafts on the tuning machines with longer ones? Any idea who manufactures them? They are skinnier than Grover 8/9s.
The posts are so short that it is very difficult to avoid winding the string down and back up over itself. Ideally, I’d like to keep the same body and just replace the posts with something longer. I’d prefer to avoid exposed holes or discolored finish on the back of the headstock.
