This sound... kind of reminds of the Kala KA-15S/KA-S of the uke world.
I think your PRS from the earilier review sounded much, much better.
 
For a moment I felt myself wavering, rather fancying learning guitar. That’s a really appealing, charming instrument, the cheapness cleverly working to its advantage.

I’ve enough on my plate trying to improve my ukulele playing, though.

This is remarkably tempting. I think I have a go at guitar roughly every ten years or so, and so far I've failed every time, but I'm probably overdue another go and this time I'd have a bit of uke experience so who knows!
 
I’ve been tempted by Jim Dandies on occasion. I used to own a recording king dirty 30 series (similar size and price) and preferred the feel of it to the Jim Dandy I eventually tried in a shop. Could have just been the setup on that particular Jim dandy I tried that didn’t do it for me though, or more likely it’s because I made the mistake of trying out more expensive guitars directly prior.
