....play the concertina?

.... Arrgh! You keep digging skeletons out of my closet.

I bought it off eBay for $49 sometime in the late 90's and got the "Anglo Concertina Demystified" book + CD, then went at it for a month or two. Got pretty good at 'Billy in the Lowland' and that was it.

Ever since it has been stored uncovered in the garage, down in the barn, sat outside in a cart full of stuff I didn't know what to do with, been at -40F and heated to well above 105F a million times, lived just a few feet above 2" of water on the barn's gravel floor every spring and fall and still the bellows, keys, and reeds are all intact. Even the squirrels, possums, and other various rodents feared to take a bite off it.

I guess it deserves another try.

I don't play one, but our group is fortunate to have someone who plays it very well. Really adds another dimension to our overall sound. In addition to ukulele, we have guitars, bass, banjo, cajon & steel guitar. (Unfortunately, no conga or drummers.)
