Different tiers of brands?

Kalas are excellent instruments for the money (this assumes their usual deep discounts from their MSRP on the street).
 
Important where you get your ukes from too. If you want an Ohana - buy it from Mim. It will be set up right and will be very playable. She will not send out a bad instrument .
I totally agree. I just bought a KoAloha from Mim and asked her to set it up with low action. It’s very playable and sounds great. It takes the fear out of buying a uke sight unseen. Mims ukes
