What's going on folks!

I've been trying to get a hold of a song I heard my first trip to Waikiki. I've searched and searched but have yet to get anywhere near finding the name of the song and group. Anyways, here's the only lyrics to the song that I know..."Well its a bright sunny day...it's a bright sunny day"...yup, that's it=(. If it helps, the lead singer looked Japanese and was wearing a SPAM t-shirt. They sang on their front steps and had a couple of beach scenes. There were three of them.

I really dig this song and would like to learn how to play it. Hopefully, one of the members can help a guy out.

Thanks and have a great weekend!

All da best,
Digablekid

(Chorus)

It's a bright sunny day
And we're kickin' it in the bay
Barbecuein' wit my uso's
Showin' love to my homies (2x)

(Verse one)

As the sun beams down
And i'm lookin' at you
Brothers to Brothers
To all my sisters to
I share my love
To all my family
What ever the reason
We stay unity

(Chorus 2x)

(Verse two)

From Waianae to the bay
Show love to my homies
And I know we cannot hate
All the simple things I pray
Now my mother and my father
They waited patiently
In a world where there's no more hurting
No more tears and we are free

(Chorus 3x until fade)

Thanks Poi Dog! But that's unfortunately not it. I appreciate the effort. It's a Hawaiian song that had the ukulele in it. It wasn't Hip-Hop. It must be a local song cause I can't Google or find it on Limewire.

I think this is the song you're looking for

You must not have read the very old posts above, the OP said that's not it. (I'm curious how and why you found this more than 14 year old thread, and then didn't read it.)
