I would hold the ukulele up by the headstock in one hand. Then take the other hand, tap around the edge, top and back, to make sure there are no glued places letting go. Next, are there any loose wires inside, that is, if you have a pickup installed??? Baz of Got A Ukulele also has a YouTube...

Thanks Putts! your material is much less rudimentary than the ones i use to teach beginner workshops. We don't even scratch the surface of music theory. when I tried that, their eyes glazed over, and i lost every one of them.

Congrats! The Moonbird is the second ukulele that made me want to become a dealer. The first one was the Moku, which may not even be around anymore, but had the same build quality. I wound up not being a dealer, but then started a performance band of ukulele geeks instead.

To me, it seems that you just have to try some of your favorite songs in each key. If none of them feel right singing melody, try some harmony. There are some songs that I can sing in G, and some i can't. The ones I can't, if my band chooses not to change the key, I come up with a harmony part...
